Sugar-Free Lent: Day Fifteen!



So, I'm now 2 weeks without sugar! What happened? What did change, if anything? How do I feel?


To be frank, I feel like rubbish. My head is still hurting, I don't know what to eat, I've lost four kilos and I'm still very tired. I hardly can get out of bed in the morning. And the cold weather doesn't help.


And, YES, I've thought about giving up. Walking through the supermarket today to get to the post office was horrible. It was not the cake which gave me grief, it was actually a BREAD ROLL. I would have loved to buy a bread roll and take it home for lunch but it contained SUGAR. It is my favourite BREAD ROLL so I could never have it again if I give up sugar forever.


I'm getting pretty desperate. Particularly when I think about the fact that it takes sometimes up to 2 (in words TWO) months till you feel the benefit of being sugar-free. That would mean in my case till well after Lent and therefore NO cake for Easter.


Was there anything good so far? Well, I noticed that I don't drink so much black tea anymore. I don't feel that I want to, I don't know why but that is all so far. Anyway, is that good?

So when is that going to be over for me?????
