Sugar-Free Lent: Day Thirty-Nine

Sugar-Free Lent: Day Thirty-Nine!

I think I start to feel better. When I was shopping today I didn't even have a glance at the cakes in the shops. And I wasn't standing drooling in front of the bakery shops. I didn't stop at the bakery stall in the market either, I was just browsing the plants.

I almost stopped yearning for pudding after a meal, remember I was a pudding-after-every-meal-person. Yes, I don't feel the need to rush to the cupboard anymore to get the dried fruit out.

Do you know what? My liver is hurting again but I think that might be due to the slice of pumpernickel with the sugarbeet syrup in it. I was actually looking today for a pumpernickel without sugar stuff in it, but I couldn't find anything. That was a bit disappointing because I really liked it. Instead I bought wholemeal rye bread which is not too bad and sugar free. A shame that it is not as moist and lush as the pumpernickel but you can't have everything.

So I wonder if that is the beginning of my new self, all powerful and glowing?

I think it is still a bit early to unplug the freezer.
